With the aim of offering the best possible viewing experience on BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC HD, as well as on BBC Interactive and BBC Sport, the UK broadcaster of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games required a full tapeless HD production that would maximise coverage of the summer games from the opening to closing ceremonies. The workflow offered ingest and metadata management, quick and easy access to media, seamless integration between EVS production systems and Avid post-production, as well as and playout operations.
