XT[2] servers natively support multiple broadcast standards such as MJPEG, MPEG2, IMX, Avid DNxHD® codec, and can manage the instant recording and transfer of media, clips, a/v feeds from/to a large number of third party systems.

• Post production

  The XT[2] server offers seamless integration with Avid and Apple editing tools thanks to its native support of Avid DNxHD® codec, Apple ProRes 422 and IMX. This allows for efficient and high speed transfers between EVS and Avid or Apple workflows whilst still preserving native quality.

  Editors benefit directly from the unique EVS instant tapeless production infrastructure. The [IP]Director software application allows operators to instantly retrieve any clips or media available on the production server and transfer them onto the most popular craft editing systems, offering significant productivity improvements. Final edits can also be transferred back on the EVS platform for reliable instant on-air management.

  Content recorded on the XT[2] server, can be directly transferred and edited on popular editors such as Apple Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.  EVS also offers intuitive tools to totally automate the process of re-wrapping or transcoding media files, making the process unattended and completely ‘hands-free’.

  To streamline acquisition, footage shot on Sony XDCAM or Panasonic P2 camcorders can be made directly available on an EVS XT[2] server for maximum efficiency.  Just shoot, connect the camcorder to media[X]change and get the assets ready to use on the XT[2] server.

• Newsroom system integration

  CleanEdit[Suite], our cutting edge news and sport production solution, integrates the flexibility of our tapeless systems with the creativity of Non Linear Editors. Unlike many integrated solutions, CleanEdit[Suite] offers a truly open and flexibile architecture:

• Third party control

  All EVS products allow either parallel control or exclusive control to be passed to third party devices (controllers, editors, vision mixers, etc). XT[2] can be directly controlled by the production switcher to play back clips, music, stills and graphics (with Key & Fill support) or loop clips as a moving background.
