Anywhere that large amounts of media are recorded and many people need to browse or review the media in the system, the XL[2] is the perfect tool to keep the production running smoothly. Developed to work as a complement to the XT[2]+ or XS production servers, which allow to work in high resolution media in either HD or SD, the XL[2] is the ideal solution for large studio and major events production.

Using IPDirector (lien vers les page) one can browse and review media easily in proxy mode on the XL[2] without affecting the hi res network. Once the required media are retrieved, the operator can transfer them onto a post production timeline or local XT[2]+/XS server for playout.

The XL[2] lo res server can be controlled by third-party equipment based on the EVS open AVSP protocol. In addition, gigabit Ethernet is available to third-party systems using EVS OCX.
