Key features
Format diagnostic platform archives SD and HD content
Super-motion content preserved and restored to native frame rate
Streaming to the EVS CleanEdit CE for instant non linear editing
Automated interoperability Gateway to post production
MXF metadata management
The EVS XFile software is the ideal complement to any production facility requiring a near line/off-line archive solution or access to removable media. It’s compatible with both the XF[2], a removable hard drive disk (HDD) platform, or the XStore[2], a near-line storage server, as well as most third party storage solutions.
XFile software allows SD and/or HD media, along with its associated metadata, to be preserved in an industry-standard MXF file wrapper for later utilization by EVS or third party systems.
In addition to archiving, XFile software acts as the gateway into and out of third party non-linear editing systems, including Apple's Final Cut Pro and Avid’s Media Composer Adrenaline. It can deliver IMX OP1a media files directly onto the storage volume of choice. With the EVS non-linear editing system, CleanEdit[CE], XFile gives direct access to any of the media stored on the system to be repurposed in post-production.
Key features
- Format diagnostic platform archives SD and HD content
XFile software gives the user instant access to archive any or all footage recorded on all networked XT[2] production and playout servers. Storage targets can be a removable HDD XF[2], EVS XStore[2], the near-line storage platform, or any other Windows mountable storage volume.
- MXF Metadata Management
Each video clip, or record stream is saved as a separate file on the storage platform (XF[2] or XStore[2]). Content such as audio/video, TC and other metadata such as clip name, keywords is wrapped into the MXF file format.
