Pierre L’HOEST
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Pierre co-founded EVS in 1994 and is CEO of the EVS Broadcast Division. Pierre qualified as an architect at the Académie d’Architecture in Liège, specialising in computer processing, 3D modelling and later video simulation. Both Pierre and Laurent Minguet have been recognized as outstanding entrepreneurs and were together awarded the Belgian ‘Managers of the Year Award’ in 2004.
Michel COUNSON
Head of Hardware Development and Founder
Director since its foundation in 1994, he is now CTO and Managing Director of EVS. Michel graduated (1982) from the Institut Electronique in Liège as a Physics Engineer specializing in Applied Electronics and began his career as a Hardware Engineer with TECHNIQUE DIGITAL VIDEO S.A.. In 1986 he founded his own company, VIDEO SYSTEM ENGINEERING S.P.R.L. working in partnership with EVS on numerous projects and resulting in a merger in 2000. Michel works along side Pierre L’Hoest, is Manager of the Hardware Department and is part of the management team of the EVS Group.
Jacques GALLOY
Chief Financial Officer
A director at EVS since 2002. Jacques is a commercial engineer and previously worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Luxemburg before moving into the broadcast industry where he was the Financial Controller of the RTL Group an also RTL Netherlands and Business Development Manager for TV & Radio.
Henry ALEXANDER
General Management Europe, Middle East and Africa
Henry joined EVS in 1997. He’s a qualified commercial engineer (when studying at the Katholieke Universtiteit Leuven in Leuven he specialised in International Business) and continued his studies at the Solvay Business School where he achieved a post-graduation (CEPAC). Henry has expanded the sales department substantially since he joined.
Bernard STAS
Head of Product Management
Bernard graduated as a Master in electro-mechanical engineering (1994) and also as an R&D engineer in Fluid Mechanics (1996) at the University of Liege. He Joined EVS in 1996 as Sales Manager for the Asia-Pacific region and has since managed both direct and indirect sales in this region. Bernard has also been the General Product Manager for all TV solutions developed by EVS since 1998. Along with the management board, he supervises the improvement of existing products, defines the development of new products and manages 3rd party integration.
Luc DONEUX
General Manager Asia & Pacific, Head of big events projects
Luc joined EVS in 1996 and alongside Bernard Stas, launched and rolled-out EVS in Asia Pacific. Since 1999 Luc has been responsible for developing major contracts with host broadcasters of major events worldwide such as the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games.
Fred GARROY
General Manager North America and Latin America
Fred Garroy joined EVS in 1996 and was active in several facets of the organization developing the sales market and promoting the EVS technology worldwide. At the end of 1998, Fred moved to New York and became the General Manager of the Americas where he teamed with Greg Macchia to expand the EVS presence in North and South America. Since 1996, Fred has played a major role in large events starting with the Atlanta Olympics as well as the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France and continues this role as of today. His accomplishments have been recognized by many. Most recently, Fred and his team were rewarded for their efforts at the Torino Olympic Games with the prestigious EMMY Award.
Thierry DELBROUCK
General Production Manager
Thierry Delbrouck graduated in 1992 from the Institut Supérieur Industriel Liégeois with a degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in electronics. In 1994 he joined the EVS team as a production engineer. Since 1998 he has been managing the Production Department and Technical Support Department as General Production Manager.
Michel DE WOLF
Business Unit Manager Media Management
Michel De Wolf graduated in 1982 as a civil electronics engineer at the University of Leuven. He joined EVS in September 2008 after an acquisition and merger of his former company DWESAB which he founded in 1987. DWESAB was a small profitable Belgian company, based in Brussels and active in the Benelux, that was specialized in service and software R&D for operating workflows, reality-TV and management of TV stations.
Michel De Wolf is now leading the EVS Brussels Development Center, where mainly studio and archive applications are being developed.
Robert BURY
General Manager, Business Unit Xedio
Robert graduated in 1985 as Engineer in Electro-mechanics at the University of Brussels and in 1988 as Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. He worked for Alcatel, L&H, KPN Mobile and Option Wireless in various ‘Research, Product Management and Innovation Management’ director positions before joining EVS in 2008. Robert is now responsible for the Xedio business, the Software-based fast production solution from EVS.
